Organic Bitter Gourd – improved soil problems, more output and less disease

“Previously, the soil on our farm had problems due to salt. We tried VermisTerra worm tea and saw improvement in soil salinity and compaction problems. The tea also improved crop resistance using organic castings rich with micro-organisms. There is a significant increase in productivity, and yields and gains have also increased.  It reduced the incidence of disease. I’m very satisfied and recommend VermisTerra to all my friends.”

Winery “the best grapes we had all year”

“Last year was super tough because we didn’t have much of a winter. So things started to bud out in February and we even got a little late frost. So it was pretty tough, most of my vineyard’s production was way down.

These two guys (Joe and Dennis) who were using VermisTerra tea, they were right where they were last year and the fruit was Awesome. They were beautiful.

It wasn’t just me and my employees. We were processing it and they went thru the crusher, de-stemmer, and they said ‘This is the prettiest stuff we’ve seen so far’. And it was. It was the best stuff we had all year. Better than my stuff. I think definitely the worm tea has something to do with it. I’ve actually started doing some foliar spray with it this year.”

Skeptic has double harvest, no horn worms

“I’ve been growing tomatoes my whole life: heirlooms, cherries and beef steaks. I’m a skeptic, but I used worm tea and got the best tomatoes I’ve ever had. I got probably double the usual harvest or more. I also would get horn worms every year but didn’t have any this year!

Our hibiscus usually has white flies and after using the worm tea every three weeks I have incredible flowers and not a white fly at all. Lastly, my Christmas cactus which I’ve been babying for 2 years wasn’t doing anything. After giving it VermisTerra tea, now every leaf has two new leaves on it.”

Huge Rhubarb, astonishing tomato and strawberries

Check out this video featuring harvesting big rhubarb from Misilla’s channel: Learn To Grow.  She said a lot of her viewers are shocked at how huge her rhubarb gets!

“For the past three years, I’ve been using only worm castings and Vermisterra nutrient tea to amend our soil and feed our plants. Our plants have become healthier, more lush and bigger since! There are beneficial microbes and fungi in the worm castings which help break down organic matter that feeds the soil and plants. The humus from the worm castings retain nutrients, microbes and moisture while plant hormones and enzymes assist in plant growth and overall health making plants less susceptible to pests and diseases. We’ve also seen astonishing results with our tomato and strawberry plants!”

Wine Grape Vineyard Very Pleased with Worm Tea Results

Dennis Erickson, owner of Erickson’s Vines, Fallbrook CA tell us about his 6 year old cabernet franc vineyard. After using VermisTerra castings and tea he observed that his plants were healthier, less pest problems, uses less water, and his winery is pleased with his grapes. Dennis shares about how the soil was dead, and he needed to build up the nutrients in the soil using VermisTerra earthworm castings and tea.

Dennis shows us how he tops his grape vines and how he utilizes his sensor (moisture sensor, soil temperature sensor, and rain sensor.)

The Best Year – Healthier Vines, Less Pests, 26 BRIX

Dennis Erickson, owner of Erickson’s Vines, Fallbrook CA tells us about the changes to his vineyard after applying VermisTerra tea and castings. He no longer finds any “red blotch” leaves, much healthier appearance, there are less pests problems, one vine produced grapes for the first time in 5 years, and 26 BRIX quality wine grapes. The winery are very pleased with his grapes.

Watch: Erickson’s Vines (Part 1) The Best Year – Healthier Vines, Less Pests, 26 BRIX

Uncle Steve talks to Dennis about lab numbers vs organic numbers, letting nature work by building up the organic matter and healthy soil. He compares what it was like growing crops using chemicals vulnerable to disease and ground pests versus growing after discovering worm castings. He saw longer shelf life on his vegetables, and release salt in the soil. Uncle Steve suggests using VermisTerra with less fertilizers.

Carmen Gispert Phd and viticulture advisor visits the vineyard to hear about Dennis’ results and the possibility of setting up trials and research.

BRIX – A measure of the amount of sugar in the juice of wine grapes. Grapes with 26 BRIX would yield dry wine with 14.5% alcohol, which is a typical alcohol percentage in good California wine.

Larger Edamame Pods

This year we planted 30 plots of edamame, planting them in two batches. After using the tea, it improved the salt levels in the soil, promoted fertilizer efficiency, and also greatly reduced pests and diseases! The most, most, most important thing is that the pods are significantly larger than the ones from fields that did not receive tea, and the output is still increasing. We recommend using VermisTerra tea. Photos: Smaller edamame pod grown without VermisTerra tea vs larger pod grown with VermisTerra tea. – Mr. Su, Edamame Farm Owner in Chiayi County, Taiwan

Amazing Results – Tomatoes Grown With and Without VermisTerra Tea

Misilla from Learn to Grow shares amazing results from her experiment growing tomatoes with and without VermisTerra earthworm casting tea over 4-5 weeks. She started with smaller plants, gave them tea, and they caught up with the bigger plants and outgrew them. Misilla waters them with VermisTerra tea once a week. Both sets received the same potting mix. The leaves of the ones that received tea were taller and bushier.

HydroSpiral is the premier root watering system on the market

‘According to the EPA, “An American family of four can use 400 gallons of water per day, and about 30 percent of that is devoted to outdoor uses. More than half of that outdoor water is used for watering lawns and gardens. Nationwide, landscape irrigation is estimated to account for almost one-third of all residential water use, totaling more than 7 billion gallons per day.”

A typical suburban home on a 1⁄4 acre lot uses between 2500 gallons and 2700 gallons of water per watering cycle. That’s a 40 percent system efficiency rate, which means only about 1000 gallons of that water goes to actually maintaining the landscape. The rest is wasted in overspray onto hardscapes and evaporation.

As a licensed irrigator, I accept the challenge of aiming for 100 percent efficiency, so I set out to create ‘Holistic Water Management Systems’, that renew the land, reduce runoff, and help recharge the aquifers. When given the opportunity to incorporate this model in a 30 acre food forest using alternative water sources, I knew this was my chance to design a state of the art, high efficiency, water management system that would help revivify and regenerate the surrounding landscape. Upon researching the most cutting edge tools on the market, I was elated to learn about the University of Arizona’s study in increasing tree growth by 48 percent.

There are several other products on the market similar to the HydroSpiral. After extensive research and lab analysis, I found that in the end it was HydroSpiral’s unique design that makes it the superior product on the market. No other brand features the spiral design that keeps it free and clear of sand and sediment without having to purchase a “sand sleeve” at additional cost. This unique design, coupled with the fact that the HydroSpiral is made from post consumer recycled materials, and costs about a1⁄3 of its competitors products, the choice was clear.

My opinion, as a professional irrigator is that the HydroSpiral is the premier root watering system on the market. They install easy and fast and are versatile with regard to active or passive systems.

Any irrigator looking to create a more Earth sustainable business model should have access to this technology. Homeowners looking to create a few beautiful, fast growing statement trees should have this in their tool kit. Farmers, permaculturists, landscape architects, or hobbyist seeking to maximize growth and yeild while helping to heal the land, should include this tool. The more we turn away from excessive and wasteful practices, and toward regenerative, holistic methods of cultivation, the closer we get to permanent solutions to many of our global problems.

I unequivocally recommend the HydroSpiral to anyone looking to plant a tree. The best time to plant a tree is ten years ago, the second best time is today.’

Finally produced grapes! Tripled my pepper production and size

I planted two champagne grapes a few years ago and they never produced for me. I watered regularly, amended the soil with compost, and watched in dismay as they grew leaves then died off for the winter. Well, came across some worm castings tea and soil amendment by Vermisterra and started adding it earlier this year and was surprised and excited to finally get them to flower and produce some very sweet and delicious grapes!

They were delicious and had a high sugar content unlike the water logged grapes at the supermarket. My tortoises enjoy eating the leaves so these provide joy for the whole family. Can’t wait until next years yield.

I tripled my pepper production and size this year. These are amazing! We have Serrano, jalapeño, cayenne and banana peppers. Another example of how prolific your garden can get if the plants are fed well, starting with adding some worm castings by Vermisterra along with some of their castings tea.
