Earthworm castings are the purest and the perfect form of soil enhancement for plants. They are completely natural, safe for the environment and easy to use. Earthworm castings contain crucial nutrients necessary for plants to grow healthy and vigorous. Castings also provide various beneficial bacteria and microbes that can improve the structure of the soil and break down nutrients to be more accessible for plants to uptake.
Unlike other manure and synthetic fertilizers, nutrients are readily available for plants and at the same time is slowly released so it remains effective for a greater length of time. It does not burn plants so there is no worry about applying an extended amount or directly to the plant.

Premium VS Standard
VermisTerra Earthworm Castings are pure, stable, and readily available for the plant to absorb. We do not include the compost or cut with any fillers. This is what makes our brand so effective: you get more pure Earthworm Castings. Our Premium and Standard grades of Earthworm Castings can be used interchangeably.
The Premium grade is more fine, ideal for indoor gardens, container plants, and seed starting. The Standard has small slivers of organic material in it, ideal for outdoor soil amendment, raised beds, trees and flowers.
How To Use Earthworm Castings
Make your own potting mix
Mix 1 part earthworm castings with 3 parts media (combination of potting mix or coco coir) to make your own slow release container mix.
Add when transplanting
Place 3 tablespoons to a handful of worm castings in the transplanting hole to protect and encourage root growth.Â
Top dress established plants
Spread a handful around the base of established plants (1-2 inches thick), scratch into the surface of the soil, then water the plants. The microbes and earthworm castings need moisture to begin working.Â
Amend soil
To build organic matter in soil, place 10 LB of earthworm castings per 10 square feet of land to boost microorganisms and condition soil.
Application Frequency
You can feed earthworm castings to your plants once a season. Microbes need warmth to multiply so you can skip winter if it’s colder than 40 degrees. For fruits and vegetables, you can use more earthworm castings: feeding them every other week. The pH of earthworm castings is 7 so you will never burn the plant.Â
